Meanwhile, Hilltopper fans were pleasantly surprised at another commitment also announced on Friday night. Nigel Nigel SnipesSnipes, who was in attendance at Hilltopper Hysteria, became WKU’s fifth commitment joining Derrick Gordon, George Fant, Deng Leek, and Guerrero. Snipes, a recent recruit chose the Toppers over West Virginia, UALR, Delaware and several others.

A writeup on ESPN states, “Snipes exudes so much promise on the floor with his quickness and ability to attack the basket or drop the sweet outside stroke. A sleek build allows him to penetrate and score and his ability to play either guard spot should benefit him as his senior year approaches.”

6′ 9″ Vinny Zollo, of George Rogers Clark High School was also in attendance at Hilltopper Hysteria Friday night on an unofficial visit and it’s anticipated that he’ll soon become the sixth commitment for WKU’s class of 2011.
