i don't think it's a 'bad article' if a bad article is the truth

This guy doesn't know what he is talking about. We aren't even past the transition years. What does this guy expect. We played Indiana and Alabama. We aren't going to beat UA. We also aren't going to beat Va. Tech nor UK at their place. Not too many teams transitioning would either.

I fully expect a slaughter this Saturday as KJ tries to regain his sea legs. I'll hold off on an official declaration until he's back a couple of games.

I don't think it is the truth. We lost to IU and Bama. Bama is a top 10 team. We won big at EKU and beat Murray 50-9. That isn't struggling in my book for a 2nd year in transition IA team. Let's say we don't win a few sun belt games, then it will be the truth. But at this point, it is far from the truth.

Just a question, for someone that would be willing to do the research...

How many D1A (we'll use that term, since they just switched to the "FB-Who gives a rats ass-S" moniker) teams have been beaten by transition teams in the past 5 years?

I know we've already got one scalp, MTSU, last year.

Better yet, how many BCS conference teams have been knocked off by schools that are transitioning. I'm sure the number is pretty low. That would mean either we're at par with everyone else who's transitioned, or everyone who has transitioned has struggled.

Which is it?

This isn't just a bad article, it is a stupid article. It starts off saying the sky is falling at WKU, then it ends saying that success is just a matter of time.

The writer can't make up his mind if WKU is sinking or on the rise.

Add to that Dray... how many transition teams have lost to I-AA teams during their transition... we haven't didn't in our 2 years, I know at least FIU did since we beat them.... I don't know about others.

Also... did you look at the author. I thought it was a real article. It's just some idiot WKU freshman sitting there in his Louisville shirt.

It's just the musings of a kid blogger. He's probably tickled to death anybody's making a fuss.

Obviously the team was going to struggle against this schedule. Hello? Did anyone not expect that?

Thus, giving him exactly what he wants.......let the pinhead go. He means nothing to us. There are reasons why people don't return phone calls to the media.

Yeah. Let him get the #@%@ out of WKU and go to that dump pit in louisville. Has WKU lowered its admission standards?

Struggling?? What an idiot. How do you struggle in transition? Expecting to go to the Rose Bowl or something??

I'm surprised this dopey pimple popper can even spell football, much less understand what "transitional" means. This Nimrod needs to stick to writing about things he knows--like face cleaning products.

he sent me a message back and wanted me to relay this to you all since he couldn't get registered.....

I didn't mean that article to be mean. In fact, I read it again and saw very few lines that wouldn't be considered objective. Really, I'm doing it to try and get a WKU page going at Bleacher Report. Nobody had put the Hilltopper name out there before then.

"In fact, it sometimes seems the sky is falling for Coach David Elson and the Hilltoppers." That references the Alabama game, IU, and most likely what's going to happen against UK. How do you keep your head up after losing so badly? Looking forward to the future can sometimes be hard when you're so overmatched. Even Troy and Ball State are looking good this season - games in which I might have given WKU a chance to win before the season started.

Outside of that, I just talked about what has gone on this season to fill people in and then gave a small prediction. I didn't come right out and say it, but I think WKU wins somewhere in the neighborhood of four games. That's not bad considering the schedule. They would probably nab 7-8 wins with this year's team and last year's schedule.

Maybe if the guys there could point out what made it a "bad article" other than they didn't agree with every line of it, that would be nice. Thanks for the feedback. Feel free to cut and paste this message.

Seems like a reasonable response, and an intelligent kid.
