KP does pretty well with a 67/71, sure to play on. Ogilvy and Harrington maybe not!

As I have said before, the older you get the more difficult it becomes to play 4 rounds in four days . There is an incredible amount of pressure when you play golf at this level.

More and more, it seems Kenny has a hard time putting four good rounds together. His 3 over the last day, after 3 good rounds, cost him many dollars last week.

If he chooses the play the Seniors next year, with the easier courses and more relaxed atmosphere, he should be a dominate player.

I think if you look at Kenny's play this year, the majority of his bad rounds have either come in the first or third rounds. Last week was a little atypical in that he played somewhat poorly the last day, although with the winds that Sunday, no one played very well.

I hope Kenny takes Tom Pernice's slant on the PGA, play as long as you're having fun and feel you can compete. I for one, hope he decides to play for another 5-8 years on the tour. Sure, the Senior Tour is easier, but there's also less $$!

Through 14 holes has hit 13 of 14 greens (average distance 19'), and 10 of 11 fairways (the one he missed - just in the intermediate - still hit the green).

But he has three putted twice and missed at least two birdie tries under 15 feet.

Kenny gets a putt to drop, a 20 footer for birdie on the last for a 68 (-2).

Kenny hits 13/14 fairways (309.5 yds average), 17/18 greens, but has 2 three putts, and some misses that were certainly in the makeable range.

Practice that flatstick ! !

I didn't mean to imply that Kenny's bad rounds are the last day but that, as you grow older, it is hard to put 4 good rounds together.

You will understand what I mean one day Wink .

yes, to win, you need 4 rounds of good golf.

But, typically there is at least one if not two full 18 hole practice rounds, as well as lengthy practice tee sessions. Many tournaments have Pro-Ams on Mondays (or corporate events).

For top players like Kenny, they are in demand for these events.

It's not just the 4 rounds, it is a full day 4-5 or more days of the week. Plus a travel day.

Good news - it is a great (read millionaire) living playing a game they love. Bad news - to stay at the top of the game takes a lot of work, which gets tougher as you get older.

Starting off bogey, bogey and shooting even par will lose you a lot of ground......and, it did.
