Wow that's an impressive highlight video.

Juan seems extremely versatile - it seems like he would definitely be a good addition. Maybe another diamond in the rough? He's definitely got the athleticism and ability to do big things.

He's most likely overlooked by a lot of programs because it looks like he fits the tweener mode that scares people off.

Seems that an inconsistent jump shot is what is scaring people off.

I don't know that is a big new trend, because I don't think there are that many late qualifiers. Derrick (Shhh) Robinson was a late qualifier, who committed after the signing period. So was Tiffany Porter-Talbert for the Lady Toppers.
I suspect there are only a few players who would fall into that category each year. Realistically, very few players get enough improvement on the SAT to get qualified on a last try without raising a flag with the NCAA clearing house. Most marginal players will sign with someone, then opt for a Juco, or sit out at the school they committed to, if they do not qualify.

I think Ray-Ray is a coach who has a line to those types of players, since he made a living off various types of cast-offs at KWU and OK. City.

gracias amigo for the straight answer. it was a serious querstion.

i loved d-rob and it impressed me when felton stole him from eku if i remember correctly. he was the state's leading scorer his senior year. i still have a photo of him in my office sssshhhhhshhhhing the uk crowd. CLASSIC.

Here's a quote from Jody Demling after seeing Derrick Gordon play

Quote:
# Love the game of Western Kentucky commitment Derrick Gordon, who is a teammate of Michael Gilchrist in high school and plays for the Long Island Lighting - Dingle. Gordon will make a major impact right away at WKU.
