Just spoke to someone very familiar with Indiana high school basketball who told me about this. He said it was a good move for Anthony. Scottsburg and Austin high schools are bitter rivals. Plus, Indiana High School basketball is still big time.

For Anthony that's a good move. The real test is whether or not we get equivalent talent to replace him.

Equal talent to replace him???

We could get a chimp with a beer hat and not skip a beat!

In all seriousness, ADub has always been one of my favorites, he's getting a shot and I think he'll do just fine.

We should have an all-alumni hs tournament and play it at Diddle. Stonebreaker from Gwood
Adub from the Fighting Whities of Scottsberg
Antonio Haynes in Georgia

And I'm sure there are plenty others out there.

Plus you could fill the lower half of Diddle with all the Kitty these guys nailed while in school.

AW if you are reading this you know who bigdaddy is......i will really miss you my man...i will never forget your sr HS night... i flipped out when you introduced me to your SECOND mom...i didn't know what to say and i had already given all my wku red towels away by then. your family and friends were great.

i remember when your best friend took us to his home, gave me all of your HS pix which i brought back to BG and gave them to Haven so he could copy all of them....btw he did return them. your friend took to one hugh room in his house and showed us all the pix he had of M Jordan, tony stewart and sooo many more great stars...i bet he had a $100,000 worth of tony stewart alone.....he also feed us a wonderful meal.

i will sure miss you at all the PU games and all the other wku outtings....you are a wku fan 100% and one of my favorites of all wku players...thanks for all you have done here, we will miss you....my God BLESS YOU in all you do.

i honestly doubt if i can match bigpapi's farewell ode to a-dub.

but he will go down in my book as one of my all time favorite hilltoppers.

if i had to rank my favorite hilltopper of all time that couldn't dunk a-dub might be the man.

a-dub had 'killer' in him. i'll never forget the time he torched ulala in an inferno of a game....i believe we lost it.

i won't forget the time i had completely given up on the tops listening on the radio at unt and he went buck wild to get us back in it and then hits a half courter at the end.

the one thing that i love about a-dub.....when i visited other school's message boards and they'd be talking about playing us and the guy they hated most...simply because he violated them was a-dub.

he was a freakin' 6'4 'non-dunkin' power forward one year. he epitomizes the indiana high school star that simply loves the game of hoops. hilltopper nation is better for having had this beast grace our hardwood.

we'll miss your non-dunking ability a-dub...but mostly we'll miss you.

love always,

dahbeed.

AW made me feel confident...He was a throw back of the basketball player I loved to watch yrs ago and with him in the lineup I felt comfortable about our outcome...
